This was introduced for Semester 2 for Level II students in 2012.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

To provide a background for students to view entrepreneurship as a desirable and feasible career option.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On completion of the course the students would be able to learn the basic concepts of entrepreneurship build self-confidence and involve with entrepreneurial activities.

SYLLABUS:

This course covers the importance of enterprise and entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial role and personality, the environment for entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in practice, business strategies and planning for success, and the basics of operations, finance, marketing and human resource management through case studies.

ASSESSMENT:

An online MCQ type individual examination and a group activity (including a group presentation) based on development of a business proposal.
