Books

The Science Library consists of approximately 30,000 text books. Number of books is added to its stocks every year. The collection covers all aspects of subjects such as Pure Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Nuclear Science, Biotechnology and Applied Sciences.

E-Resources

Use of the Library’s Electronic Resources is guided by the Policy on Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources. Remote access to licensed resources is restricted to current faculty, students and staff.

E-Journals

Access the individual journal titles that are available on-line. The E-journals page allows you to browse alphabetic lists of the journal titles available online. Remember, the Library also has many more journals available in print which can be found by searching the Library Catalog.

E-Books

Access online books through free and our subscription databases.

E-Databases

Find the databases that contain content relevant to your topic. The Library subscribes to many different types of electronic resources, from those that provide indexes of journal articles to those that aggregate full-text content from a variety of different publishers. The Database Finder provides alphabetic and subject-based lists of these electronic resources, including descriptive and coverage information to help you select the most relevant resources.

Digital Library

Digital Library of the University of Colombo is a collection of scientific research publications by researchers at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Journals

Journals and newspapers are available for the use in the library only. Photocopies of the journal articles can be obtained from the library, subject to the library regulations and the provisions of the copyright law of the country. Electronic journals and databases are available in the E-Access Gateway of the library web and please check the E-Access Gateway to find out whether the library has a particular journal tile in the electronic stock. Any Back issues of the printed journals are available in the fifth floor of the library and if someone needs to get photocopies of any article in any issue.
