IT Service Centre (ITSC) of the Faculty and the Network Operations Centre (NOC) of the University provide a numer of IT related services to the staff and the students of the Faculty.

Staff members are entitled to obatian email accounts hosted under “G suide for education" managed by the NOC. The email account allows users to access a number of online services provided under G suite for education. All the official communications will be done through this email system.

Procedure of obatining an email account for staff.

• Send and email from your personal email address to your ICT comittee memeber of the Department requesting including, your first name, lastname and prefered username as your email address. 
• ICT comittee memeber will forward it to the NOC and NOC will direclty send credentials to your personal email address.

Eduroam is a secure service which allows students, researchers and staff of the University of Colombo to access internet when visiting other participating institutions. Eduaroam is available over 100 countries at the moment. Please send an email to noc@cmb.ac.lk to request an Eduroam account.

Zoom is remote conferencing platform based on cloud computing. University has access to a professional edition of Zoom through the LEARN network.  Please send an email to noc@cmb.ac.lk to request a Zoom account.

Every staff member can request Microsoft Office 365 accounts. Click here to obtain more information and accounts.

Undergraduate Studenent Information System (SIS) handles most of the course and examination related matters. Learning management systems (LMS) is also coupled to the SIS. Once, student or staff registered in the SIS, he/she gets the access to the LMS automatically. Academic staff memebers should send the request to create accounts in the SIS together with the assigned course(s) to the itsc@sci.cmb.ac.lk. 

MSc LMS is operated independantly. MSc coordinators should send all the details of the staff members and assigned courses to the itsc@sci.cmb.ac.lk
