Pre-conference Workshops
Two virtual pre-conference workshops are organized as a part of the ICDS 2023 conference events for those who are interested in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Both workshops will be conducted by experts in Data Science who have experience in academia or industry. These workshops are designed to give its participants a dive into the emerging areas of AI and ML.
Workshop Registration fee:
- One Workshop: Rs 2500 (For International Participants 15 USD)
- Both Workshop: Rs 4000 (For International Participants 25 USD)

WORKSHOP 1 on Introduction to Explainable AI (XAI) for Enhanced Transparency in AI Models

Explainable AI (XAI) is a critical aspect of building trust and transparency in AI systems. This workshop aims to provide participants with a basic understanding of Explainable AI, its importance, and various techniques to make AI models more interpretable.

Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge in python and basic knowledge in Machine Learning
(NOTE: Having these prerequisites is mandatory for a productive experience. We do not recommend to register for the workshop if you do not have these requirements)

Laptop or Desktop with internet connection.

Registration Procedure for the Pre-conference Workshops - ICDS 2023
Step 1:
Pay the registration fee using method 1(If you have a debit/ credit card) or method 2 (Pay to bank).
Method 1
- Go to https://pay.cmb.ac.lk/
- Select Conference Fee – Faculty of Science as the Fee type
- Enter your Name and NIC No/Passport ID correctly, then as the payment reference, put 314053100005.
- Then as the student registration number,
- use your NIC number/Passport ID
Enter the Workshop Registration fee as the Paying Amount and click the Submit button.
Then you can specify the payment details and complete the transaction.
Take a screenshot or softcopy of the transaction and save it as proof of registration fee to upload it to a google form at step 2.
Method 2
Visit any People’s bank branch and pay the registration fee to University of Colombo Collection Account No: 314053100005. Keep the bank slip as proof of registration fee to upload it to a google form at step 2.
