The inauguration Ceremony for the 2021/2022 Intake - Faculty of Science, University of Colombo

The inaugural ceremony of the 2021/2022 intake of the Faculty of Science was held on 29th May 2023 at the New Arts Theatre of the University of Colombo. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Senior Professor (Chair) HD Karunaratne, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo. The welcome speech was delivered by Senior Professor Upul Sonnadara, Dean of the Faculty of Science. The Director of the UCSC, Dr. Ajantha Athukorala and Professor. Sampath Seneviratne, Permanent Student Counselor, also addressed this gathering.

The Heads of the Departments, academic, administrative, and non-academic staff members of the faculty were present at the ceremony. About 600 new undergraduates participated in the ceremony.
