COVID-19
The World Health Organization (WHO) characterizes the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic. It is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. The growth of COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka seems exponential and every action needs to be taken to avoid spreading it. Risk of infection is higher for people who are close contacts of someone infected from the virus that causes COVID-19. If you are having mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath it is time to seek medical care. In general, you can help protect yourself from respiratory illness with everyday preventive actions.
