Tips and Tricks on how to Patent your Research Work
Intellectual property (IP) protection, commercialization of R&D has become a less pursued area under the University work. However, applied research also should be an integral part of academic life and University-Industry interaction is a must to accomplish this aim. Such a link will undoubtedly assist the universities in expanding their research areas as well as enhance the research & development culture in the industry. IP plays a huge role in forming these linkages as it creates a platform for a proper transfer of Technology created within the university system. Proper management of IP can be instrumental for universities to disseminate their knowledge to be used in the economic sector.
This workshop would mainly focus on the important role played by IP, protection of IP, proper management of IP assets, and mechanisms of commercializing innovations produced by university researchers.
