Enrolment of the 2023/2024 Intake to the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo – Inauguration Ceremony

The inaugural ceremony for the 2023/2024 intake of the Faculty of Science was held on 22nd April 2025 at the New Arts Theatre, University of Colombo. The event was graced by Senior Professor (Chair) D.U.J. Sonnadara, Dean of the Faculty of Science. The welcome address was delivered by the Dean, followed by speeches from Dr. Ajantha Athukorala, Director of the UCSC, and Dr. Rajitha Silva, Senior Student Counsellor, University of Colombo.
The ceremony was attended by Heads of Departments, along with academic, administrative, and non-academic staff members of the faculty. Approximately 665 newly enrolled undergraduates participated in the event.
