General Convocation 2024 – Faculty of Science, University of Colombo
The University of Colombo held its General Convocation 2024 on the 27th and 28th of August 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo. The ceremony was graced by the Venerable Chancellor, Ven. Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero; the Vice Chancellor, Professor Indika Karunathilake, the Rector, Deans of the Faculties, Directors of Institutes, the Registrar, Acting Librarian, Bursar, members of the academic and administrative staff and the graduands.
The conferment of the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Science (Honors) degrees took place on the 28th of August 2025. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor conferred degrees upon 505 students of the Faculty of Science. In addition, gold medals were awarded to students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
The Faculty of Science extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and wishes them every success in their future endeavors.
