Hostel Closure Notice for Sinhala and Hindu New Year 2026

This is to inform that the university hostels will be closed with effect from 12.04.2026 for the Sinhala and Hindu New Year 2026.

All students currently residing in the hostels are hereby informed that they must vacate the hostels by 12.00 noon on 12.04.2026.

Students will be allowed to return to the hostels only on the day prior to the commencement of academic activities. However, hostel facilities will be provided from 19.04.2026 only for students who are required to attend on site academic activities within the university premises and for those who are having to sit for examinations.

Those students are further informed that they must report to the hostels between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on 19.04.2026.
