AWARDING OF SCHLORSHIPS TO FIRST YEAR

The Association of Colombo Science Faculty Batch – 1974, is pleased to announce that the Association will be inviting applications to award scholarships to 1st year undergraduates of the Science Faculty of University of Colombo for the eleventh consecutive year. This scholarship would continue till the selected undergraduates complete their first-degree program, for a maximum of four years. The financial value of the proposed scholarship this year is Rs. 7500/= per month. The scholarship payment will be reviewed every two years,

Our Association was established in March 2016 and the members of this Association are the persons who entered Faculty of Natural Sciences of Colombo Campus in 1974, under the umbrella of University of Sri Lanka.

One of the key objectives of the Association is to assist the science undergraduates of University of Colombo in their studies by way of financial assistance, mentoring and lending assistance for future employment on completion of their studies.

As per the aforementioned objective, the Association is calling applications from the first year Science Faculty undergraduates in view of selecting and awarding scholarships to undergraduates. Undergraduates who are willing to apply for these scholarships should satisfy the following conditions.

    • Should be First year undergraduate of the Science Faculty of UOC
    • Should be from a low-income family
    • Should have been entered to the University in 2026.

Those who satisfy the above conditions and are interested in applying for a scholarship should complete the Application Form given below and send a soft copy to deans.office@sci.cmb.ac.lk with a copy to secretary@uocsc74.com expressing his/her willingness to accept the scholarship, on or before 15th June 2026.
