The Department of Nuclear Science, University of Colombo, with acknowledgement from the College of Radiographers, Sri Lanka, is pleased to announce the commencement of the Certificate Course on Medical Imaging Informatics.
This course is designed to address the critical need for expertise in medical image handling and analysis. It aims to equip healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the rapidly evolving field of medical imaging informatics. The curriculum bridges a significant gap in Sri Lanka’s academic offerings in this specialized area.
Who Should Apply?
This course is tailored for:
- Professionals: Medical Imaging Technologists, Radiographers, Radiotherapists
- Researchers and Students: Postgraduate and undergraduate students with a background in medical imaging
Five passes in the GCE Ordinary Level; including Science and English
Entry Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Medical Imaging,Radiography, Radiotherapy, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
OR
Enrollment in an undergraduate program in medical imaging, radiography, radiotherapy, medical physics, nuclear medical science, nuclear technology, or biomedical engineering
Pre-registration
Applications are now being accepted from interested students for the programme. Due to the limited number of available positions, selection will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants who meet the required qualifications will be invited to complete the formal registration process.
