Calling application : Lotus Scholarship for the female undergraduate students of UOC

LOTUS SCHOLORHSIP

The University of Colombo hereby invites applications for the above scholarship from eligible second-year undergraduate students of all Faculties and the Sri Palee Campus (Academic Year 2023/2024).

  1. The value of the scholarship is Rs. 5,000.00 per recipient per month, payable in twelve (12) installments per annum until the completion of the academic activities.
  2. The scholarship programme will continue until otherwise notified in writing by the Student and Staff Affairs Branch.
  3. Eligibility Criteria:
      • Applicants must be registered internal female undergraduate students at the University of Colombo.
      • The annual family income of the applicant must be less than Rs. 750,000.00.
      • Applicants should not be recipients of any other financial assistance from the University or any external organization, including Mahapola, Bursary, or any other scholarships.
  4. A total of seven (07) students will be selected from all Faculties and the Sri Palee Campus based on academic performance, parental income, and other relevant criteria as determined by the selection panel.
  5. The decision of the selection panel shall be final, and no correspondence will be entertained thereafter.
  6. A specimen application form is available at the Dean’s Office of each Faculty and at the  Rector’s Office of the Sri Palee Campus.
  7. The closing date for applications is 24th April 2026.
