Launch of a Commemorative Stamp and First Day Cover
The Sri Lanka Philatelic Bureau of the Department of Posts issued a Commemorative Stamp and First Day Cover to mark the centenary celebrations of the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo, on 24th of November 2021 at the Information Learning Centre auditorium at the faculty premises.
The cover was ceremonially presented to Hon. Minister Dinesh Gunawardana, the Minister of Education and the Leader of the Parliament, the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media, Mr. Jagath P. Wijeweera, the Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo, Senior Professor Chandrika Wijeyaratne and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Senior Professor Upul Sonnadara by Mr. Ranjith Ariyaratne, the Postmaster General of Sri Lanka.
Senior official of the Department of Post, Rector Sri Palee, Deans of the Faculties, Registrar, Bursar, Council members, Heads of Departments and faculty academic and nonacademic staff joined this memorable occasion.
