Re-election to the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Science

The Faculty Board of the Faculty of Science at its Special meeting held on 17.07.2023 unanimously elected Senior Professor D.U.J. Sonnadara to the post of Dean of the Faculty of Science for a further period of three years with effect from 20.07.2023.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated Prof. Sonnadara and appreciated his leadership in shaping the faculty into a hub of academic excellence.

Prof. Sonnadara also addressed the Faculty Board and expressed his gratitude for having confidence in him and re-electing him for another term. While appreciating the fullest cooperation extended by the academic staff during his first term, Prof. Sonnadara stated that he has confidence that the same support will be extended by the faculty to uplift teaching and research within the faculty to greater heights.
