Video Series with Alumni
The University of Colombo, Faculty of Science in collaboration with FOS Media and its diverse national and international alumni network is organizing an alumni story video series in celebration of 100 years of excellence in science education. We aim to bring exceptional stories of our alumni to cultivate a motivational environment to current and prospective students of Faculty of Science.

Letter to Alumni
Dear Alumni,
The Faculty of Science (FoS) of the University of Colombo (UoC) is celebrating 100 years of excellence in science on the 21st of January 2021. The faculty is organizing a series of events to make this celebration colorful. One such activity is releasing a series of 7 – 10 minutes University of Colombo, Faculty of Science alumni videos with unique content.
Suggested contents of the video (but not limited to)
- Introduction (Name, Current City, Occupation)
- History (Hometown, University batch, Combination/Subjects)
- University Details (Friends at University, Lab partner, Life partner if applicable, If demo/assistant lecturer, Favorite subject, Favorite lecturer)
- Memories at the University
- Occupation details (some activities at the workplace if possible)
- How science shaped you?
FoS Media will undertake editing of the video if required and add background music, logs, and banners related to the 100 – year celebration.
Please let us know If you are interested in making a video. Furthermore, please circulate this request among other University of Colombo, Faculty of Science alumni if interested or nominate such alumni.
