Two researchers from the Faculty of Science are among the World’s Top 2% Scientists

Two researchers from the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo: Prof. K. M. Nalin de Silva from the Department of Chemistry and Emeritus Prof. W.D Ratnasooriya from the Department of Zoology are ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the updated Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators published in October 2021. There are 38 Sri Lankans ranked in this list from various institutes around the country.

In the publicly available updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators, scientists are categorized into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. Their ranking provides information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
