The Nuclear Science Society of University of Colombo SCINTILLA is being established by the Department of Nuclear Science since year 2018. This is the main and only student body of the department and one of the most active society in the Faculty of Science. The main objective of this society is to develop the knowledge of undergraduate students and the general public about nuclear science and to organize various activities related to nuclear science.

• Leadership Training Program

Through thought-provoking workshops, Scintilla provides an enriching platform for students to delve into the depths of nuclear science as we did through the workshops and the Science Day exhibition of a school on applications of radiation.

• Sahurda

At Scintilla, we recognize the importance of giving back to society. Our distinguished community project, Sahurda, reflects our commitment to service. Through Sahurda, we extend a helping hand to O/L and A/L students on selected subjects, with 2 – 3 day workshops. We leverage our society to make a positive and sustainable impact.
