MINIMUM ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT TO PROGRESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
In terms of the Existing By-laws and the provisions of the Handbooks effective for the respective academic intakes, you should obtain a C grade or better aggregating to a minimum of 15 academic credits per year in Levels I, II and III to move to the next Level. If a student fails to satisfy this minimum requirement, he/she will not be permitted to register for courses in the next level until this requirement has been fulfilled.
Having considered many requests of the students in Levels I and II, the Faculty Board at its 480th meeting held on 06.06.2023 has decided to repeal this requirement as Faculty has implemented the fallback option effective from the 2012/2013 batch.
However, if you have less than 15 academic credits, you are strongly advised to complete that requirement before proceeding to the next level.
If you wish to repeat the same level without proceeding to the next level with less academic credits, you need to submit a request for a decision of the faculty board.
