Retirement of Senior Professor and Chair of Zoology & Environment Sciences Professor Preethi Udagama

Senior Professor P.V. Udagama retired from the university service with effect from 30.09.2023. Prof. Udagama made a significant contribution to initiate and develop the Career Guidance Unit within the faculty of science apart from her contribution to enhancing teaching and research in the Department of Zoology & Environment Sciences. She has rendered invaluable service to the faculty by leading and contributing to many different activities spanning over 33 years.

 

The Faculty Board at its 484 th Meeting held on 03.10.2023 felicitated her invaluable Service and Senior Professor Devaka Weerakoon, Head of the Department of Zoology and Environment Sciences, presented a note of appreciation on behalf of the University of Colombo and congratulated Professor Udagama, a good health and happiness in her retirement. Several other academic members expressed their gratitude to Prof. Udagama.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Science, Senior Professor Upul Sonnadara presented a token of appreciation to Prof. Preethi Udagama.
